This needs to get tons more attention. Contacts I know in the RNC are tracking this...but Congress is sitting on their hands. Delegate Kimberlyn King-Hinds, who has been in the positin since Jan 2025 is definitely a problem, and needs to be looked into.
CDR Sal, having worked in a U.S. Embassy and due to "unexpected circumstances" been elevated to the head of the Military Assistance Office, you are 100% correct. Regardless of how the governor passed, we need to treat it VERY seriously. As you state, there are MULTIPLE important audiences in play here. Not to mention, it's the right thing to do. Funny how doing "the right thing" ends up paying huge "unexpected" dividends when executed, but frequently has to fight tooth and nail to get approved for execution.
- find some good investigators who might be distracted in a Trump investigation or potential leakers and put them somewhere less challenging for their TDS
Parking them on Alaska or a sand bar in CNMI might address some punishment fixation but is counter productive to the other needs
Actually, I believe we are in the process of renovating the facilities on next door Tinian (whence Enola Gay) for use as basically a USAF dispersal field.
Haley Barbour was the governor of Mississippi not Louisiana. He was acclaimed by all parties of the political spectrum for the successful recovery of Mississippi from Katrina, especially when compared to the neighboring Louisiana. Details matter
My dad left pieces of himself and blood on Saipan in June 1944, starting on June 15, the day of the assault and Dad's 18th birthday. He got two Purple Hearts and lost several friends including one he tried to save under fire getting wounded and a Bronze Start in the process.
The original Bloomber expose about Imperial Pacific International (IPI), the casino owner: "Obscure Casino Run by Trump Protege Raises Big Questions"
November 13th, 2016, 6:08 PM PST
The world's most successful casino ever may be located in a remote American territory, run by a former protege of President-elect Donald Trump. Chinese high-rollers are increasingly betting on the Pacific island of Saipan, where the staggering numbers have attracted the attention of U.S. anti-money laundering officials. Bloomberg's Stephen Engle has the story. (Source: Bloomberg). The full article by Bloomberg was from 2/15/2018 by Matthew Campell. More importantly, IPI filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April 2024, with over $165.8 million in debt. The company operated a casino on Saipan until the pandemic forced its closure in 2020.
Read Bloomberg's articles, but take with a grain of salt. Bloomberg has an overt anti-Trump bias. There's needs to be clarification from other sources.
That is odd. I had the complete opposite reaction that the article author was casting suspicion on the usual suspects- perfidious Democrats. I agree that we should always consult multiple sources for the purported data or accusations. First rule-any unusually vibrant use of "CAPS" is never to be trusted without verification.
Somebody forward this to JD Vance and/or Pete Hegseth yet?
Darn, I’m not subscribed to Signal.
Would either one listen? I have serious doubts.
Yeah, let's send a note to our Congress critters on this one.
Amen, Andy. Just sent an email to Congressman Patronis with a link to this post.
I did. Maybe he'll surprise me and actually try to do something, but I don't hold out much hope based on past performance.

MSM snoozing on this. Am forwarding a link to this post to my new District 1 Florida Congressman to see how he measures up (or down) to Matt Gaetz.

A good place to send some FBI agents that can't be trusted in DC
Your heart is in the right place, SGT. But too many delightful distractions in the Marinas. I was thinking Johnson Island or Little Diomede Island.
look guys, we need to:
- investigate a possibly suspicious death
- show concern to the locals
- show resolve to the CCP
- find some good investigators who might be distracted in a Trump investigation or potential leakers and put them somewhere less challenging for their TDS
Parking them on Alaska or a sand bar in CNMI might address some punishment fixation but is counter productive to the other needs
I was just going by the "can't be trusted" part. I want them focused on frostbite or sunburn & thirst. ☺
Little Diomede is cruel. Send them to Attu.
Shemya in lime green Speedo's.
Why reward them with a tropical island. Attu must have something that needs investigation.
see above
All such deaths are suspicious in that part of the world. Anyone want to hazard a guess?
not to mention all of the Cold War era airfields that can service bombers
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Great spot for a Naval Air Station....
Actually, I believe we are in the process of renovating the facilities on next door Tinian (whence Enola Gay) for use as basically a USAF dispersal field.
We can always use more, especially if Chicom ballistic missiles are involved.
Yes sir, we are. North Field is getting a makeover.
Excuse my cynicism. I suspect the only way this will get attention is if one our host's senior and well placed lurkers sees this post.
Cynicism - the clear eyed recognition of reality and human nature interacting in a statistical universe.

I have found, in all my travels, it it smells like shit, it is shit.

Concur. Also use of words designed to grab one's emotions, often found in the tabloids.
