More stories like this are emerging from the attacks on 10/7. She stood up and served her fellow citizens and nation well. Glad I'm in here before the "masks off" Apologia Brigade, led by their call "Oh, it was really awful, but..." sewage.
LT Nemri laid it all out when it was her tragic fate to be in the gunsights. And yet.... Many young people on American college campuses (usual names) across the land somehow think they are superior beings because they hold strong opinions about stuff.
Early on, I read that the IDF purposely put women at the Gaza spotter posts because it was deemed that they were more likely to be diligent on the long and boring surveillance watches than men.
Cant find the article again, so I will consider it apocryphal for now, but it may help explain why there were so many female casualties on Oct. 7.
As for being surprised as the Israelis were on Oct. 7, seems they better look hard at an historical culture feature which enables them to miss large scale surprise attacks:
On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, the "war to end all wars" came to an end. Oh how wrong we have been. Rest in peace Lieutenant. My heart aches for those that have made the ultimate sacrifice. The feelings of an old hermit.
Here's hoping - and praying - that we still have plenty of examples of Nimri's "brothers/sisters/nation above all" fighting spirit left within the military. It seems we may require such dedication much sooner than we think.
Full Bore Nimri, Full Bore. The IDF should name ship after her. Go with God.
As the days go by we'll learn many stories of heroism like those of Eden Nimri and Ben Simon. What a great debt of gratitude we owe to Israel! God bless you! BZ Lt's!
Respect and prayers for her family and "Peace for all of Jerusalem and Israel". God said to Abram and his seed in Genesis 12.1-3, I will give you a good land that I will show you. but HE ends this Covenant with an interesting phrase, "I will bless them that bless you and curse that curse you." God is faithful to HIS Word, from so many years, ago.

While the Israelis ban women in combat units.... they can be border guards, which in their situation, pretty much means combat units.
Well hopefully the Israelis will get full vengeance for her and the others they lost.

Full Bore indeed.

Does It Matter?
by Siegfried Sassoon
Does it matter?—losing your legs?...
For people will always be kind,
And you need not show that you mind
When the others come in after hunting
To gobble their muffins and eggs.
Does it matter?—losing your sight?...
There’s such splendid work for the blind;
And people will always be kind,
As you sit on the terrace remembering
And turning your face to the light.
Do they matter?—those dreams from the pit?...
You can drink and forget and be glad,
And people won’t say that you’re mad;
For they’ll know you’ve fought for your country
And no one will worry a bit.

She was a warrior. A Lion of Judah.
The Israelis need to find and utilize their 'John Ford' in the Battle of Public Opinion. ASAP.

And theatrically publicize the Bravery of these women...
Some of John Ford's work, for those who may not be familiar...

Full Bore indeed. What a horrible waste.
Fullbore. Do not despair that she died, but thank divine providence she lived.

There are times when I feel a measure of sympathy for the Palestinians in Gaza, and then I recall this...

Well said, Sal. We will never conquer the violence of the brain stem; may as well turn into that concept and ensure we're the best at it.
