It's realistic that China will begin to assert itself (as a 20 trillion dollar economy) in the regions close to it and it's unrealistic that the United States will ever be able to oppose it, cost effectively, in that effort.
Why does this blog have such a focus on ominously promoting United States aggression toward China?
It's realistic that China will begin to assert itself (as a 20 trillion dollar economy) in the regions close to it and it's unrealistic that the United States will ever be able to oppose it, cost effectively, in that effort.
India, Japan and Russia are the major players with a stake in controlling China. To the extent that the United States does it, it's wasted resources for us and free riding for the others.
