I'd focus attention on any organization that's simply trying to cause chaos and collapse civilization. That might be the World Economic Forum, but I can't think of anybody else, now that SPECTRE is apparently out of business.
As noted elsewhere, I'm tentatively moving to a "they done f'd up again" accidental thesis.
I knew hydrates could be touchy sh**, and the shutdown/restart/shutdown/restart/shutdown etc. sequence the Russians have been doing the last 2 years isn't conducive to good operations.
What I _didn't_ know is that apparently the bottom of the Baltic is _littered_ with methane hydrates... which means it's a temperature/pressure environment that's highly conducive to forming MH.
What I also didn't think through is that sudden release of a MH plug would be sufficient to create a diesel effect ignition, all by itself. Along with breaching the pipeline quite thoroughly (just from the plug @ 120mph, never mind the detonation).
As for Emma's commentary:
- Russians - lots of bad motives, BUT they've got the best capability to do so, right up the road in /L/e/n/i/n/g/r/a/d St Peterburg. And the specops divers and their subs are frequent visitors around the Baltic.
- US - no _credible_ motive. Yes, the USS Kearsage group is operating in the Baltic. So?
- Ukraine - no _credible_ motive (despite commentary from certain so-called experts who've been wrong about pretty much _everything _ in this war for the last 7 months), and OBTW, they don't have a demonstrated combat diver capability. And if they DID have one, why hasn't it been busy blowing up Russian shit all over the Black Sea, like those Kilos being used as cruise missile platforms?
- Poland - Again, fails the motive "sniff" test.
- The Baltics - Means, motive, and opportunity. Of which they barely have opportunity. None of them wants to _provoke_ a war with Russia. They may have article 5, but still have zero interest in being the primary battleground, and needing someone to push THROUGH Kaliningrad to relieve them.
And she ignores China's interests in driving Russia further into being a vassal state. Because they sure as hell aren't going to get their tech from the West any more.
All in all, amusing reading, but... not very good, y'know?
everyone focuses on divers. A submerged ROV that I could literally build from the hardware store could do the deed, and according to my pet explosives expert who did this sort of thing for fun and profit, wearing the Budweiser Eagle, a couple three inch charges would blow a hole in that pipe, even when brand new, and especially at 360' underwater.
Who said Biden authorised it? Biden doesn't control or decides what's in US/elites interests.
I can't say I agree with Emma's commentary.
Who benefits, who has the ability are better starting points for inquiry.
I'd bet on the CIA, except that this was obviously a successful OP, so that reduces the likelyhood but there are other TLA suspects.
Agree 100%. Capability and interests.
Funny how she dismissed 2a with "couldn't be us" lol
Russia gains nothing by destroying its own income producing assets. We must look elsewhere for a villain.
Forbes magazine makes a very good case for why Russia might have done it.

My money's on the eco-nuts created by Russia's predecessor.
Of course, if it was the US, it would be for the same reason.,
All of your conclusions suggests it wasn't Russia then.
But will the Green Dream Fever crowd in this country be able to absorb any useful lessons from this?
Magic 8-ball says: No
