Yep going to take a bite and then let the outrage die down. In a fragmented Europe and a Europe addicted to Russian gas the outrage will not last long. Putin will rinse and repeat. He is 69, so how many more cycles can he do?

I wonder how much of Putin's commentary on Western capitals greatly influencing anti-corruption, financial investment, and election candidates, is true.

The other thing I wonder about is a few scraps of information that indicated Putin's health is waning and there is great competition regarding which group of oligarchs will gain leadership. It suggested the DEFMIN's group is still in the lead. Putin doesn't look sick other than being a little pasty, but no worse than me in my early 60's.

On the other hand, "Vladimir Lenin's Ukraine" has now been nominated for eleven Golden Globes.

Thank you, CDRSalamander, for posting this and for the links to original sources. Yes, Catherine, not Lenin, is the cynosure of Russians. Also Nevsky, Russians' George Washington. This constellation of facts is so very important to grasp and work from. US, India, Russia alliance for earth-order undoes so many knots and opens so many opportunities.

I like this part the best; when was the last time a US president had so much pride in its industrial past, in making things?

"In 2021, the Black Sea Shipyard in Nikolayev went out of business. Its first docks date back to Catherine the Great. Antonov, the famous manufacturer, has not made a single commercial aircraft since 2016, while Yuzhmash, a factory specialising in missile and space equipment, is nearly bankrupt. The Kremenchug Steel Plant is in a similar situation. This sad list goes on and on."
