At the the last gasp of Jimmie Carters crew the navy ended their supply mission in the South Pacific. They had some old WWII LST’s with Chief as the CO and crew of boatswains mates and deck seamen. They did these 3 month cruises going from island to island dropping off supplies. They did it for years. When they dropped this mission they lost the face of Americans showing up to give them a little help. That’s when we lost the South Pacific.
Can we establish a correlation between championing green initiatives (or whatever the Cause of the week is) and promotion to flag rank?
