Can’t recall where I heard it on my TV, but they said a contract was signed for six new destroyers. Another live source with strong connection to active 0-6 that they will all be nuke powered. Hope it’s true!!!

Robert Gates was at CGSC last year (2025) and he said some of the same thing Sal said after the 25 minute point about shipping for the United States writ large and the Navy specifically. one thing Gates said was that we should build the hulls in Japan and Korea and then fit out the ships with radars etc here in the United States.
