The only teak in my 26' sailboat is that inside the cabin, plus the cabin entry hatch covers. Everything else is prime US Grade No.1 fiberglass covered with gel coat. I oil the interior teak and the hatch covers once a year and I'm then Good With The Wood for another sailing season.
