Last month I had the pleasure of spending a bit over 90 minutes with Kate LaVail and Michael Vieira of Canary Strategies as a guest on their Canary Group Podcast.
It was such a fast unscripted hour and a half, and it was a hoot to be on the other end of the table being the interviewee as opposed to being the question asker on Midrats.
We covered everything from the “CDR Salamander” origin story, such that it is, to the state of the Navy, who in Congress understands the naval challenge, what kind of SECNAV I like, the challenge in the Pacific posed by the People’s Republic of China, all the way to … movie reviews.
I think we also touched on a few things that vibe well with this Pearl Harbor Day; what are our assumptions about what the next war will be like, what the threat may be, and are we ready for it when it comes.
