My concern here is that you're wishing for a Germany, and for Germans, that don't exist. They certainly don't exist in positions of power and authority. You've had decades of Socialism and Green religious fanatics poured down the throats of generations of Germans.
As C.S. Lewis said, it's like gelding a man and then telling him to 'be fruitful and multiply'.
If there are Germans who are looking forward to a war with Russia, (and there ARE Russians looking forward to a war with Germany) I'm not seeing them. Is there a martial spirit in Germany to be directed? I knew a few German vets (meaning they did more than just the required National Service tour) and none of them are interesting in fighting.
We need better elites, indeed, here and around the world.
We should just take up a collection among the members of the free world to give Germany whatever bribe it would take to force them to do the right thing and stop funding Putin. And let the world know what we're doing and why. Like the old joke about the woman who agrees she would sleep with a man for $1,000,000, but rejects an offer of $5:
"We’ve already established what you are. Now we are just haggling about the price."
