I have read the Blog and find that the metrification of data to create a a leadership function model is totally flawed. As as Australian CO I made it a point of knowing who were under my command. It would include what we called the Platoon Commanders Notebook. This book was your personal log of your personnel. I and it a point of creating an atmosphere of inclusion of families as well. If you have a happy family you have a happy digger.
If the US Navy and Marine Corps down this path they abrogating their command and leadership responsibilities. Please tell me how they are going to cue this thing/ system to give you relevant and up to date data. It is doomed to fail you at a most critical time. An Aussie Veteran view
